A solar window heater works by circulating air from inside a room through the system mounted on the interior window sill. Each Solar window air heater insert has been specifically designed to capture the suns energy from early morning to late afternoon, converting energy to heat. Unlike flat plate aluminum solar window heaters, the extreme heat aluminum inserts capture and transfer heat through each individual insert. Because of the unique design the overall surface area is greater than any other angular and or flat plate solar window heater of similar size.
With the increase of surface area, the New 2017 Model 1632 Extreme Heat can have a smaller overall all size with an increase of heat output. (greater efficiency) Manufactured with wood and aluminum inserts, in combination with insulation the Model 1632 Extreme Heat has the lowest manufacturing carbon foot print. The dimensions of this particular Model Extreme Heat is 16" X 32" and has a depth of 2.5 inches. Insulated with open cell insulation and covered with Plexiglas. It’s fully assembled when shipped. Airflow matching is critical when designing a solar air heater. Our controller uses a thermistor to constantly monitor inside panel temperature while adjusting fan speed (RPM).
We designed the solar air heater true match airflow system back in 2009.
Our solar air heater programmable circuit design enables preset temperature settings. Multiple temperature set way points enable the fan to either ramp up or down depending on your inside panel temperature.
Examples: If a cloud passes between the sun and the panel, the temperature drops. The fan will automatically ramp down. If it’s a hazy day, one of the preset temperatures will control CFM output to accommodate the panel temperature. A bright sunny day, the fan will ramp up to full CFM output.

The patented technology (7,434,577) of our 1536 series sets a new industry standard for the solar air heater industry. Each collect insert has a combined surface area of 2.125 square feet. Additionally, the combined 7 inserts in each module equals 14.875 square feet of energy to heat transfer in a smaller, easy to handle and install unit.
A second patented benefit is the angle of each insert which creates a separate partition between each insert. The benefit is clear; when room air first enters the first 1536 module it must pass thru the first collector insert surface. Continuing to the second, third, and so on to the seventh collector insert. Hence the terminology, “Step-wise Heating™”.
When the air passes thru the first module it’s preheated by each partition. The air passes to the second module and travels in the same fashion only up each individual insert instead of down like the first module. Then, over to the next module down each insert and then to the next module and up and thru each insert back into the room.
You can combine as many 1536 modules to accommodate your heating requirements. Because of the up down and over design, 1536 modules must be purchased in pairs (2 ea). There is no limit to your array of modules.
